ReplyDeleteThe idea of getting a Tu144 for Xmas is not totally crazy. There is one sitting on an airfield south of Moscow that was re-engined with American engines and used under contract to the US government for test flying a few years ago. Better off getting a Concorde, the 144 was seriously flawed in the wing design. There is still a Concorde at Heathrow looking for a good home!
